Fellowship

Come Together

What is Fellowship?

While worship, service, education are all central to life at Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church (WRPC), so is fellowship! Part of being a disciple is being with other seekers and believers to worship, serve, learn and to be woven into community through good old fun!

Like many congregations, WRPC loves to eat together! There are all-church picnics several times a summer; smaller sharing groups that dine out together through the year; the Christian Education Committee hosts seasonal festivals and arts events through the year that include a yummy meal. The all-church Christmas party hosted at a member’s home is a joy every year!

Fellowship Committee

The Fellowship Committee also plans outings to provide another way for folks to get to know each other and have fun. There have been visits to a Mystery Dinner Theater, art museum, movie and dinner, a driving architectural tour followed by lunch, and more.

4-F Group

The 4-F group meets on the first Tuesday of most months to eat breakfast, share table conversation, and then get to work doing small and large jobs that keep the church building and grounds looking great and functioning well. They live up to their name:

Book Club

The book club has been going for many years and gathers monthly in peoples’ homes to discuss a novel or a non-fiction book chosen by one of the book club members.

Single Ladies’ Lunch

The Single Ladies’ Lunch is a wonderful gathering of women of the church who dine out one Sunday a month after worship—usually on the last Sunday of the month.

Fellowship Time

Of course, after worship each Sunday, fellowship time is a chance to share conversation over some coffee, tea or lemonade, and a goodie (there are almost always donuts, because… donuts.:-) This all happens in the beautiful and aptly named Fellowship Hall. The heating and evaporative cooler make it comfortable year-round. The gorgeous kitchen was renovated in 2014-15.
Whether it is through a formal event or a spontaneous gathering of a few kindred spirits, a warm welcome, some delicious refreshments, and an authentic interest in people shape the ministry and mission of WRPC! It truly is a place “Where (Really) People Care” WRPC!
