The Rev. Dr. Whitney Dempsey is transitional/interim pastor here at Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church. Rev. Whit specializes in pastoral education and interim ministry. Working from a family system and other systems perspective, Whitney seeks to build and support healthy pastors, chaplains, congregations, and organization. Whit has served a variety of positions, recently serving as Temporary Supply Pastor for First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Colorado and several interim pastor positions, most recently one in Broomfield, Colorado and also at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Boulder. He’s also served as a chaplain at St. Anthony Hospital, St. Anthony North Hospital, and recently at Lutheran Collier Hospice. He has a Master of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Dubuque Theological Seminary. Whit is married and lives in Arvada. His wife is a nurse at SCL-Lutheran Hospital. He and his family enjoy many outdoor activities in Colorado including running marathons, fishing, and skiing.
