A Place Where People Care

All Are Welcome!

Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church tries to live out Christ’s call to love our neighbor as ourselves, whether that neighbor lives next door, across the city, or on the other side of the world. WRPC is a small congregation with a big heart!

Come Visit Us

If you visit, you will find folks who are life-long Presbyterians, some former Catholics and Baptists, and people just beginning to explore their faith. All are welcome! People: vote blue, red, or purple; grew up on a farm or an urban high-rise; pray to Jesus, the Trinity, or Divine Spirit of the Universe. All are welcome! Jeans and cowboy boots, skirt and heels, dashikis, sports jerseys, cashmere sweaters, T-shirts—all are welcome

Sunday Worship

Sunday worship is at 10am (9:30am in the summer). The pastor’s sermons connect stories of the Bible with issues of life in today’s complex world. Congregational singing is usually from a hymnal accompanied by an organ, and there is a wonderful adult choir, hand bell choir, and special music—including from children and youth.

Mission

Being of service and working for justice are at the heart of being a follower of Jesus. Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church (WRPC) is known as the place “Where people care.” This care is put into action in many ways; making a difference here in the city of Wheat Ridge and across the globe.

Fellowship

At vero eos et accusamus et iusto odio dignissimos ducimus qui blanditiis praesentium voluptatum deleniti atque corrupti quos dolores

WRPC really is a place “Where People Care.”

School-year tutoring program for a local elementary school, packing backpacks of food for a local school through Feed the Future, cooking meals for homeless shelters, financial support for Lomagundi Clinic in Zimbabwe, Carpenter’s Helpers Habitat for Humanity, and many other causes: WRPC reaches out in love.

With podcasts and social media, this intergenerational congregation is open to the rapidly changing world even as it is anchored in traditions that are worth keeping. Come find a friendly handshake and maybe a hug if you want one. This congregation is looking for good questions more than certain answers.

Views of the Mountains

Outdoor Worship Center

The Outdoor Worship Center, with views of the mountains, is a jewel of a worship space and music venue. In the summer, worship is outside June, July, and August every Sunday except the first Sunday, weather permitting (and it almost always does). Outdoor concerts from community musicians entertain and raise funds for worthwhile purposes.

Children and youth are cherished—a lively summer Vacation Bible School, Sunday “Kids’ Kingdom” during worship, church school, and youth outings. Theater has become an important aspect of Christian Education with at least one or two productions each year.

Contact Us

WRPC is easy to find between Wadsworth and Kipling, a little over half a mile west of Lutheran Medical Center. The building, grounds, and programs are all wonderful, but the most important aspect of Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church is the people who make up this faith community. Come see for yourself!
